What do young people think about the vast number of new audio products available to them?

That’s a question that brands are trying to figure out right now.

Brands across the media ecosystem are trying to better understand how they can leverage the powerful intimacy and authenticity of products like podcasts or audiobooks – or the evolving and dynamic abilities unlocked by smart speakers – to build stronger connections with their audiences.

To get a better sense of what kids (and their parents!) think about podcasts, smart speakers, and audio books, Hook spoke with young people (6-12 years old) across the UK to better understand how they were using these new products. Have a read of what we found below!
