WHAT INFORMATION DO WE (HOOK RESEARCH) COLLECT ABOUT YOU WHEN YOU PARTICIPATE IN MARKET RESEARCH?

We collect information about you when you consent to take part in  market research via any of the following: face to face depth interview, telephone depth interview, online research panel or focus group. The information is collected directly from you with your consent.

We only collect the data that verifies your eligibility to take part in the project you are being recruited for. For example, if we are researching people who watch TV, in addition to your name and contact information we would collect behavioural data about how you watch TV and what you like watching.

HOW WILL WE USE THE INFORMATION ABOUT YOU?

We collect information about you to confirm that you are the correct demographic for the project. This information is then shared with the moderator/interviewer from Hook Research Ltd.

Unless otherwise specified, the information is not shared with the commissioner of the research. This is to ensure that all the research findings are anonymous and confidential. If we intend to share data externally, we will notify you in writing at the recruitment and research stages.

If the research interview is being held in a venue, the host/hostess at the venue will be provided with your name and contact number only. This is so that you can be contacted in the event of any delays to the start of the interview or to contact you if you have not arrived.

Information provided to the moderator/interviewer/host(ess) is encrypted and password protected.

All data collected by Hook Research Ltd is stored in encrypted files which are password protected. The data is retained for up to 3 months after collection and then deleted securely.

You will not be contacted about anything other than the project you have been recruited for. Your recruiter will ask you to confirm that you are happy to be re-contacted about the project.

We have your contact details; name, address (where applicable), telephone number and email address.  This information has been provided by you, with your consent.  We only use this information to contact you for potential recruitment projects.  Your details are password protected, stored electronically and only accessed by our fieldwork team.
